scalp Micro

Scalp micropigmentation is a cosmetic tattooing procedure that reverses the look of thinning hair. Thousands of tiny dots are tattooed onto the scalp, mimicking the look of individual hair follicles.

typical SMP treatment

Typical treatment schedule for scalp micropigmentation (SMP). 4 visits, including initial consultation and three sessions.

How much does it cost?

Scalp micropigmentation is priced by amount of coverage needed. You must schedule a consultation so we can evaluate your hair loss and provide a treatment plan.

Does it hurt?

Everyone is unique in their pain tolerance. It ranges from a 1-3 on the pain scale, and different parts of the scalp may be more sensitive than others. Some clients even fall asleep!

What will I look like immediately after the procedure?

While every client is different, you may have some redness and minor swelling immediately post-procedure. This should fully dissipate within a few days.

How long does it last?

This is highly dependent on skintype and sun exposure, but without touchups, typically 5 years. With touchups, as long as you'd like to maintain it.

What is healing like?

For the first 4 days, you MUST avoid touching, showering, or shaving the area, exercising, swimming, sweating, or being in a steamroom. On the 5th day, wash your head gently with cool water and gentle soap. On day 5, apply provided moisturizer 3 times daily to prevent dryness and flaking. On day 10, you may begin shaving the area again (we recommend an electric shaver only.)

How many sessions will I need?

This is dependent on your level of hairloss, how your skin accepts pigment, and how diligent you are with aftercare. Typically 2-4 sessions, with 3-4 being the most common. The second session is scheduled 7-10 days after your first session. The third session is then scheduled 4 weeks after this. If a fourth session is needed, it will be scheduled 4 weeks after the 3rd.

How old do I have to be?

Under California law, you must be 18 years or older to book an appointment.

What if Iā€™m pregnant or nursing?

Purely as a precaution, we will not perform procedures on pregnant or nursing women.
