our technique

We specialize in hyper-realistic 3D areola restoration tattooing. Our technique pulls from fine art, focusing on light & shadow to create the most natural looking results possible.

The natural watercolor effect is achieved through the use of only 2-3 colors, with the natural skin tone serving as the highlight. By avoiding the use of white, everything is kept transparent to mimic skin's natural pigmentation. This avoids areolas that look like "stickers."

who is it for?

Individuals who have undergone mastectomies, have scarring left after other breast surgeries, or those looking to replace lost pigment.

How much does it cost?

Current pricing is $500 for a single areola or $700 for both. This includes your initial appointment and 6-week touchup appointment. For breast reconstruction patients, your insurance should reimburse you! Be persistent.

Does it hurt?

We use a topical numbing agent to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure. That being said, everyone is unique in their pain tolerance and sensitivity to numbing.

What will I look like immediately after the procedure?

While every client's skin is different, you should expect redness, brightness, or darkness. As your skin heals, it will settle to the perfect color.

What is healing like?

At the end of your appointment, we will place tegoderm bandages over your new tattoos. Please leave these on for 7 days. You will see blood and lymph fluid underneath the bandage, don't worry! This is normal. After 7 days, remove the bandages and gently wash the area. Apply a thin layer of vasline twice a day for an addiontal 7 days. Read more about aftercare here.

How many sessions will I need?

Most clients are served by our appointment structure of an initial appointment followed by a 6-week touchup. Additional touchups will incur additional fees.

How old do I have to be?

Under California law, you must be 18 years or older to book an appointment.

What if Iā€™m pregnant?

Purely as a precaution, we will not perform procedures on pregnant women.
